The Misfit Jazz Band, comprised of five members (a quintet), started in August 2016 combining the talents of two groups; the Stump Brothers and the WS Quartet. They enjoy playing jazz standard from the 1920’s on up, and have played at Farmers’ Markets, Senior Centers, the Concert of Colors (2017) in Detroit, Weddings, as well as a few other venues around the mid-Michigan area thus far. Trystin Reed (Saxophone), Peter Shutt (Drum-Kit), Kurtis Young (Guitar), Joe Stump (Trumpet), and Reuben Stump (Double Bass) make up what is known as the Misfit Jazz Quintet.
