Four of Detroit’s best singer/pianists will treat you to an unforgettable night at the piano with a little bit of everything from Ragtime to Rock-n-Roll.  Matthew Ball, aka The Boogie Woogie Kid is "Michigan's leading boogie-woogie man!"  His performing history spans 10 states and includes everything from symphony appearances to jazz and blues festivals.  Rockin’ Jarrod Champion is a pianist, singer/songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Having spread out from rock and roll into jazz, blues, country and folk, his music has taken him across the U.S. and Europe, sharing the stage with multiple prominent musical acts.  Ragtime Jon Milan is a pianist, educator, and author of the globally sold Detroit: Ragtime and the Jazz Age, becoming an authority on Detroit’s exceptional Ragtime tradition. Both a performer and lecturer, he maintains an active performing and writing itinerary.  Blues Songstress Kerry Price is a staple of traditional jazz music with a post at Detroit’s historic Rhatskeller Restaurant.  Mississippi Rag Magazine described Kerry as "a blues shouter with a little girl quality.”  Among her many interests, she identifies herself as a blues singer in the venerable tradition of Claire Austin, Ma Rainey, and Bessie Smith. You won’t want to miss this special toe-tappin’ program of family piano fun featuring song and instrumental favorites celebrating the decades from 1900-1950s.
